It Started With Long Days, Late Nights, and a Dream.
In 2019, Minkyholic wasn’t a company.
It was just me.
At the time, I was already running a furniture store during the day. I’d work long hours helping customers, loading furniture, running a business, and then I’d come home and start my second shift.
I’d go live.
I’d pack orders.
I’d answer messages.
I’d work late into the night, then wake up and do it all over again the next day.
I wasn’t building Minkyholic because I had everything figured out.
I was building it because I believed there had to be something more.
The Hard Years
Life wasn’t always easy behind the scenes.
I’ve battled anxiety and depression for years.
There were days when showing up felt impossible.
There were days when I questioned everything.
And just last year, I went through a divorce that changed my life in ways I never expected.
The truth is, running a business doesn’t stop when life gets hard.
The orders still need packed.
The lives still need hosted.
The customers still need you.
So I kept showing up.
Even on the days I didn’t feel strong.

What Happened Next
Something incredible happened.
You showed up too.
One order became ten.
Ten became hundreds.
Hundreds became thousands.
What started as a dream built between furniture deliveries and late-night packing sessions became something I never imagined possible.
Today, Minkyholic operates out of a 10,000-square-foot warehouse.
We have a small but mighty team:
5 seamstresses
4 cutters and pinners
2 packers
And me—still going live, still talking blankets, still connecting with the community that built this company.

What You Built
Minkyholic isn’t a giant corporation.
It’s real people.
Real families.
Real hard work.
Every blanket is touched by hands that genuinely care.
Every order helps support jobs, families, and dreams.
And every single one started because someone decided to take a chance on a small business.
What I Want You To Know
I don’t think I say this enough.
Thank you.
Thank you for showing up.
Thank you for believing in a small business that started in a garage.
Thank you for supporting us through the highs and the lows.
Thank you for helping turn one woman’s dream into something bigger than she ever imagined.
Life looks different today than it did when I started Minkyholic in 2019.
Last year, I walked through a divorce that changed the course of my life. It was one of the hardest seasons I’ve ever faced, but it also opened the door to a new chapter.
Today, I’m blessed to be married to my husband, Cory, a retired Marine who has spent his life serving others. Along with Cory came Calvin, and together we’re building a new life filled with hope, family, and fresh beginnings.
Like so many of you, I’m learning that life doesn’t always go according to plan. Sometimes the chapters we never expected become the ones we’re most grateful for.
I’m still growing.
I’m still learning.
I’m still navigating what this next season looks like.
But for the first time in a long time, I’m excited about the future.
Excited about the life we’re building.
Excited about where Minkyholic is headed.
And excited to continue sharing this journey with all of you.
Five years later, we’re still here.
Still growing.
Still making blankets by hand.
Still showing up.
And none of it would exist without you.
From a garage in 2019 to a 10,000-square-foot warehouse today, this story isn’t just mine. It’s ours.

With love,
Dottie
